How GhostTones technology works

GhostTones embeds inaudible audio tones into broadcasts, venue audio, streams, and other content. These tones can only be detected by an app or experience that a user has actively opted into.

What our technology does not do:

Information we collect

Through our website: if you contact us, we collect the information you provide (name, email, company, message) solely to respond. We do not sell this information or add you to marketing lists without consent.

Through GhostTones-powered experiences: when you engage with a tone-triggered experience, we may collect the tone event (which signal, when, and general location context such as venue or broadcast), your engagement response, and device/app identifiers necessary to deliver the experience.

We do not collect recorded audio, conversation content, or precise location beyond what the triggering context inherently provides.

How information is used

Data sharing

We share aggregated engagement data with the brand and venue partners whose campaigns you engage with. We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers who help operate our platform (under confidentiality obligations) or when required by law.

Your choices

Children’s privacy

GhostTones experiences are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this page as our technology and partnerships evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
